Angela Lynn Upchurch's Obituary
Angela Lynn Upchurch, 61, passed away peacefully in the presence of loved ones on August 30, 2025, at her residence in west Tulsa.
Angela was born on January 9, 1964, in Coffeyville, Kansas, and moved to west Tulsa where she grew up and made her home. She went to Webster High School where she participated in the DECA organization and graduated from the medical transcriptionist program through Tulsa Vo-Tech. She met Carl Wallace and started her family. Her proudest role in life was being a stay-at-home mom and raising her four children.
Later, she met Terry Upchurch, and they were married on September 6, 2008, in Center Ridge, Arkansas. During her years in Arkansas, she shared her love generously with the family she came to cherish there.
Throughout her career, Angela built lasting friendships with her coworkers, who were always among her dearest companions. She worked as a safety coordinator at John Christner and Interstate Express in the trucking industry, and later at Pendergraft Security and Convergint, where her dedication and kindness touched many lives.
Angela loved the water in all forms-whether it was splashing in the pool with her grandkids, visiting the beach, or finding the perfect swimming hole with her siblings. These moments by the water brought her peace and happiness. What she loved most was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored. She never missed their activities and celebrations, always being their biggest supporter. She had a passion for shopping and decorating, transforming spaces with her creative touch.
Angela is survived by her husband, Terry; her parents, Don and Deanna Fain; and five children: Ryan Wallace, Brittney Crowl and her husband Josh, Nathan Wallace and his wife Ashton, Kaleb Wallace, and Michael Upchurch. She leaves behind eleven cherished grandchildren: Mia, Marcus, Max, Maruwa, Charlotte, Jameson, Hudson, Presley, Liam, Emory, and Lathan. She is also survived by her sister Debi Young, brother Bobby Young, and sister Keesha Fain Massa.
Angela was preceded in death by her stepbrother Ricky and sister Kathy.
A ceremony to celebrate Angela's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 4, in the Rivercrest Chapel. A reception will follow in the Great Room. Angela will lie in state in the Parlor of Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 AM.
Angela's legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the memories she created with those she loved most.
