Alicia Ann Bonnallie, Bixby resident, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was 82 years old. Born October 31, 1939, in Sewickley, Pennsylvania to Stanley and Eugenia (Lent) Novak, Alicia grew up in Baden, Pennsylvania and attended Ambridge High School where she participated in about every club and activity imaginable. Following high school, Alicia attended Point Park College (now a university), located at the confluence of the Three Rivers. While working as a stewardess for American Airlines, Alicia met Don Bonnallie. The couple married May 1, 1964, and they moved to Queens, New York. Alicia enjoyed her time working for American Airlines, especially all the great people she encountered along the way. She would never forget the flight she attended with John F. Kennedy aboard the plane! Alicia and Don were relocated to Tulsa in 1967, later making Bixby their home in 1973. It was Bixby where they decided to raise their two children, Scott and Allison. Alicia was always supportive of her children, actively involved in all their activities. While doing so, Alicia was instrumental in helping to establish the Bixby Soccer Club as well as the Welcome Wagon – an organization created to welcome new neighbors to the community. Alicia was a housewife for much of her children’s early years but also enjoyed her time working at the Bixby Flower Basket as well as Ann’s Hallmark and Dresser Engineering. Alicia was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Tulsa. Some of her favorite hobbies included gardening, the book club, making all types of meals for her friends, putting together puzzles, and reading. Most of all, Alicia really adored her grandchildren, always making them her famous brownies and supporting them as their biggest fan in all their activities. Alicia had many close friends in the Bixby and Tulsa areas; she leaves behind a host of family and friends who will cherish her memory.Surviving family members include her son Scott Bonnallie and his wife Kelly; daughter Allison Tharel and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren Joey, Madeleine, and Brooks; and her sister, Carol Fornadel and her husband Andrew of Freedom, PA; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Donald Bonnallie.
