Patricia Reeder Obituary A funeral ceremony honoring Patricia Bernice Reeder will be held 10 AM Tuesday, May 20, 2021 at the Rivercrest Chapel in Bixby. Interment will follow in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 5-7 PM Monday, also at Rivercrest. Pat passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was 86. Born in Arkansas City, Kansas October 23, 1934, Pat was the daughter of Cardville Ervin and Niece (Weatherly) McDaniel. The youngest of 8 children, stories have been told of Pat shining her brother’s shoes and chasing them several blocks for the nickels she earned. Pat was a basketball player and a cheerleader. She graduated from Union High School in Tulsa with the Class of 1953. Pat was set up on a blind date with Joe Aud in 1953 and they were married for over 31 years. Together, they raised three daughters – Deborah, Darenda, and Dianne. Pat was the best mother her girls could have ever asked for. Pat was employed by Citizen’s Security Bank for most of her working life outside of the home. It was there she met John Reeder while helping him apply for a loan. Not only was the loan approved, John earned her hand in marriage on January 7, 1990 in Miami, Oklahoma. Pat also worked for Citgo Petroleum Company. Additionally, she kept the books for John’s carpentry business and officially retired in 1992. Throughout her retirement years, Pat enjoyed taking care of the lawn and always keeping a spotless home. Her family describes her as a fantastic cook, making the best steaks ever! It has also been noted that nobody could ever think about matching her turkey dressing. She also enjoyed crocheting and sewing numerous articles of clothing for her family. Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bixby for several years. Surviving family members include her husband, John Reeder; her daughter, Darenda Aud; stepdaughter, Jennifer Reeder; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Aud; seven siblings, her parents; two daughters, Debra Britton and Dianne Adkins; and her grandson, Casey Adkins.
