Nora S Kreymer

Nora Kreymer Obituary Nora Marjorie Kreymer was born November 5, 1925 in Lamesa, Texas to Lela (Lane) and Joseph Skipworth. Nora was raised with six sisters and two brothers, growing up in the country. Everyone had their fair share of chores, whether that was helping in the garden or picking cotton, but they made sure they had plenty of time to play too. As a teenager, the Skipworth family moved to Greenville, Texas. Here, Nora was introduced to a young man, Archie Kreymer, who had just received his honorable discharge from the Merchant Marines. The couple married and made their home in Wylie, TX, where they welcomed the birth of sons, Jerry and Joe. Archie sought employment in the construction industry and relocated to Louisiana. Here, the family grew with the birth of daughter, Linda. Working in construction, Archie was transferred many times and the Kreymer family moved around a lot. However, Nora remained steady during all the moves. She enjoyed caring for her family and made special relationships with her neighbors. Archie gained employment with Tulsa Paving Co. and the family moved to Bixby in 1965. Here, the kids attended and graduated from Bixby High School. The family became member of the Bixby First United Methodist Church, where Nora was involved in quilting and assisting in preparing funeral meals. She also was a member of the Garden Club and enjoyed playing Canasta, a card game. A great cook, Nora will be remembered for her infamous gumbo and apple pie. She will also be remembered for her great love of family. She loved her grandkids very much and wanted them at her house every weekend. Nora passed away June 20, 2021. She was 95. Those she leaves to cherish her memory are her children, Jerry Kreymer and wife, Cindy, Linda Plunkett and husband, Dave; daughter-in-law, Linda Kreymer-Conner and husband, Steve; six grandchildren, Jeff Kreymer, Shelly Thomas, Cody Plunkett, Nicole Wallstein, Jennifer George, and Monica Lamphere; 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; son, Joe Gary Kreymer and husband, Archie Kreymer.
