Juanita Dicus Stonecipher Obituary A visitation to honor and celebrate the life of Juanita Helen Dicus Stonecipher will be held from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2021 in the RiverCrest Chapel & Event Center at Bixby Funeral Service. A private graveside service is planned for family. Juanita passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Tulsa. She was 100. Born October 19, 1920, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Juanita was the only child of Warren and Annie (Johnston) Ryle. Spending the majority of her youth in Muskogee, that is where Juanita attended school and became a high school graduate. Excelling in academics, she furthered her education - eventually attaining her master’s degree from Northeastern State University. A long-time educator and counselor, Juanita made a huge impact on countless students that made their way through Jenks Public Schools. Dedicated to her students, Juanita was even a Pep Club Sponsor. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Iota National, an organization for educators. In addition to school, family, and faith were of utmost importance to Juanita. Saved at an early age, she continued to serve the Lord her entire life. Married to Rev. Eldon Dicus, Juanita was a wonderful pastor’s wife who has been described as loving, generous, and extremely caring. Following the passing of her husband, Juanita later married Marion Stonecipher. The two enjoyed extensive traveling and embarked on numerous cruises, as well as countless trips in their RV. South Fork, Colorado was certainly a favorite destination for Juanita. When she was at home, Juanita could be found gardening and taking care of her flowers. She didn’t miss many Sunday church services either and enjoyed singing in the church choir!This beautiful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was able to celebrate 100 years on this earth last October. However, the world will not be the same without her. Juanita passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Tulsa. She is survived by: her children: daughter, Patra Hair (Rusty); son, Roger Dicus (Connie); Marion’s children: Phil Stonecipher and Patty Moos along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
