Gracie McKee

Grace "Gracie" Elizabeth McKee passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by the deep love of her cherished family. Born in Perry, Oklahoma to Charles Franklin and Mary Margaret Tontz Cockrum, she was the youngest of thirteen children. Gracie was a lifelong pillar of strength, love, and faith to all who knew her. She was the beloved wife of Clarence McKee, her sweetheart and husband of 71 beautiful years. Theirs was a love story, most could only dream of-a rare and enduring bond built on devotion, laughter, and a shared life rooted in faith and family. Together, they made their home in Lucien, Oklahoma, where they were farmers and ranchers for 46 years before retiring and enjoyed exploring the country full time in their RV for 11 years. Gracie was a devoted mother of three, the proud and loving "Grandma" to 10 grandchildren, and the adored and affectionately called "Gigi", "Grandma" and "Great-Grandma" to 23 great-grandchildren and anxiously awaiting her 1st great-great grandchild. To her family, she was a constant source of comfort, encouragement, and unwavering love. Gracie and Clarence's hard work, steadfast faith, and deep ties to their community were hallmarks of their life together. A devoted Christian, Gracie was a longtime member of Lucien United Methodist Church until moving to Tulsa in 2012, where she and Clarence continued their faith journey as members of Evergreen Baptist Church. Her faith guided every aspect of her life, and her strength and grace were a testament to the God she loved and served. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Cockrum, and her 11 siblings. Gracie is survived by her husband, Clarence; her children, Brent McKee and wife, Susie, Wirt McKee and wife, Jeanie and Marla Robinson and husband, Mitch and her grandchildren, Brett (Lindsay), Melissa, Michelle (Mitch), Brady (Nichole), Kaytie (Ryan), Cody (Abigail), Chelsea (Kane), Krista (Andrew), Kelly (Tyler), and Evan; and her 23 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild due in September, all who brought her endless joy. Though her absence is deeply felt, her memory will forever shine as a light in the lives of those who loved her. Gracie will be remembered for the way she made her family and friends feel important and at home-with a quiet grace, a generous heart, and a faith that anchored all who knew her. Her genuine spirit, loving nature, and gentle wisdom were her greatest gifts to the world. Her family rejoices in the legacy she leaves behind and takes comfort in knowing she now rests in the peace of the Lord she loved so deeply. A visitation to honor Gracie's life will be 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Bixby - South Tulsa Funeral Service. A celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2025 in the Rivercrest Chapel at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow and is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday at McGuire Cemetery in Lucien, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to Evergreen Baptist Church.
