Danny Eugene Knapp

Danny Eugene Knapp, a beloved father, brother, husband, and friend, passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was 54 years old. Born on May 28, 1970, in Tulsa, Danny was the son of James Wesley Knapp and Linda Mae (Davis) Knapp. A 1988 graduate of East Central High School, Danny was known as an adventurous kid with a passion for baseball, cars, and life. Danny's love for automobiles was unparalleled. From a young age, he was drawn to classic cars and trucks, pouring his heart into customizing and refurbishing them. Some of his collection included a Cadillac, Mustang, Corvette, Impala, and his pride and joy-a 1965 Chevelle Super Sport. He worked at Swinson Chevrolet during high school, a natural fit for someone who loved cars as much as Danny did. His garage was his haven, complete with a TV, recliner, and a stocked refrigerator. It was not only a workspace but a gathering place where Danny formed lifelong friendships with family, neighbors, delivery drivers, and anyone who crossed his path. After high school, Danny began his career in manufacturing, working at Tulsa Winch, Ramsey Winch, Spirit AeroSystems, Triumph, and XPO Logistics. He was also a business owner, operating Home Therapy Resources alongside his wife, Kim. The two dated for nine years before they married on May 16, 1998, spending 35 years of their life together. They raised two beautiful daughters, Meagan and Maddy, in Broken Arrow. Danny was a man of many talents who could fix anything. His neighbors often called on him for help, knowing his magnetic personality, big heart, and unending willingness to lend a hand. Described as hilarious, sarcastic, kind, and supportive, Danny's sense of humor was legendary, and his presence was always uplifting. He loved his family and being surrounded by friends. Danny is survived by his daughters Meagan and Maddy Knapp; his former wife, Kim Knapp; his sister, Marie Runyon, and her husband, Phil; his brother, Rusty Knapp; nieces, Jamie Ballard and DeLayne Doyle; nephew, Ben Romanello; niece, Kim Foutch, and her husband, James; and great-nieces, Molly and Brookie. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Linda Knapp. Danny leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services to celebrate Danny's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 5th in the Rivercrest Chapel at Bixby South Tulsa Funeral Service. A reception will follow in the Great Room. The family asks that you honor Danny's memory by enjoying refreshments, laughter, and time with loved ones-just as he would have wanted.
