Bret Alan Rosser

Bret Alan Rosser passed away April 15, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion to family and faith. Born May 20, 1958, in Amarillo, Texas, Bret was the son of John and Norma (Harp) Rosser. He grew up in Amarillo alongside his older brother Robert, who passed away when Bret was 16 years old. During his youth, Bret was an accomplished saxophone player in the Amarillo High School band and enjoyed playing football. While attending college in Amarillo, Bret met the love of his life, Rhonda Anderson. The couple married on May 14, 1976, beginning a loving partnership that would span nearly five decades. Throughout his career in sales, Bret traveled extensively, working for various industrial manufacturing companies. His expertise spanned from gearboxes for amusement parks and the energy industry to waste biotreatment facilities. His work took him and his family to several locations including Amarillo, Garden City, Kansas, and Dodge City, Kansas. After the kids were grown, Bret and Rhonda moved to Springfield, MO. About five years ago, Bret and Rhonda returned to Tulsa to be closer to family and friends. A man of deep faith, Bret was always active in church wherever they lived. He served in multiple capacities, working the soundboard for Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Tulsa and a small church in Ozark, Missouri, where he also played bass guitar. Bret and Rhonda began attending James River Assembly and loved serving as hosts greeting people to the services for several years. He discovered a passion for woodworking in his later years. Following his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer, Bret founded the non-profit organization Caps 4 Cancer, demonstrating his commitment to helping others even during his own health struggles. Those who knew Bret would describe him as a man who loved his wife deeply, would do anything for his family, and would drop everything to help anyone in need. He put his love for God first, was exceptionally hardworking, and was an amazing father and an overall good man. Bret is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Rosser; his mother, Norma Rosser; his children Jamie (husband Joe), Jarret (wife Morgan), and Matt (partner Samantha Taylor); and his cherished grandchildren Cheyenne Rosser, Geneveve Brisley, Duke Rosser, Jack Rosser, and Rowan Rosser. He was preceded in death by his father, John Rosser, and his brother, Robert Rosser. A service to celebrate the life of Bret will be held at 10 AM Saturday, April 26, in the Rivercrest Chapel.
