Beverly Fulkman Obituary Beverly Fulkman was born April 26,1926, in Monessen, PA. Her parents were Jean R. and Chauncey G. Collins. She was the oldest child with two younger brothers, now deceased, David and Don Collins. Her father was in the military, and so the family moved thirteen times while she was growing up. She always said she didn’t mind going to new schools because she loved the attention she got by being the “new girl” in school. Beverly loved the theater and fashion. It was due to this love of fashion at an early age that she learned how to create and design her clothes. She was always very stylish and enjoyed being a homemaker in her early years while raising four children, three daughters, and one son. In later years she loved visiting her children and grandchildren, and she and her second husband, James C. Fulkman, also spent a good deal of their time traveling the world together. They were married for over 40 years, and Beverly also took an active part in helping to manage her husband’s various business ventures. She became a full partner in one of them, which they both enjoyed developing together, a neighborhood restaurant and bar called The Passport in St. Petersburg, Florida. She loved books, was an avid reader, and kept up with world events, friends, and family. She also enjoyed keeping up with the stock market and managing all her investments.Beverly spent most of her life in Akron, Ohio, and St. Petersburg, FL. She enjoyed residences in both places, and when her husband passed away in 2010, her daughter brought her to OK. She made many friends in various assisted living homes all around the Tulsa area but spent her last remaining years at Prairie House in Broken Arrow.She leaves behind a daughter, Jean (Jeannie) Bachmann, and her husband John H. Bachmann, who lives in Broken Arrow, OK, and a son John H. Wenum and his wife Lindy who reside in Pittsburgh, PA. The grandchildren are Jennifer Rizzi, Christina Elliott, Brittany Valerio, and their husbands, Remy Valerio and Charles Elliott, as well as Calley Wenum and Casey Wenum from Pittsburgh, PA. Beverly was also a great grandmother to Emma, Madison, Annabella, Tristan, Camden, and Rex.She will be missed.
