We are very excited to announce and would like to invite you to join the........ BETTER TOGETHER LADIES GROUP
Better Together Ladies Group is an aftercare service provided by Bixby Funeral Service. Our goal is to provide a community of support and encouragement for women who have lost their spouse or significant other.
While there is no way to remove the pain of losing a loved one, we are hopeful this group would help to ease the pain. We all grieve uniquely, but all people find comfort in belonging to a close-knit group that offers encouragement and support.
Better Together Ladies Group provides comfort and encouragement in the following ways:

  • A place to meet others who have experienced a similar loss
  • Support from feeling alone or isolated
  • An opportunity to meet new friends
  • Opportunities to participate in organized events: social meet-ups, movie nights, game days and service projects in the community

Sharing Loss, Sharing Life

By remembering and honoring our past, we believe we can be a source of strength and inspiration for each other and those around us.

Newsletter: October

Happy Fall Ya’ll! The crisper, shorter days are upon us, and we have much to be grateful for. Every month of the year is special in its own way. But we all must admit that October holds a special place in our hearts. October is a month in which we get tons of opportunities to embrace change. Although this is a month when summers finally come to an end, do not consider it as an ending. I love to watch how the trees display their colorful coats of orange, red, yellow, and green. Fall is a new beginning to so many new things. Here are some reasons that make October special. The festive season begins in October. It’s time to get out all your sunflower, hay, and pumpkin decorations. One of the best feelings about October is that it marks the beginning of a new season which means new hopes, the holidays, and celebrations. We will soon be saying goodbye to warm afternoons and will open arms to the chilly air, so pull out all those sweaters! Then there is the fact that October foods rejuvenate your soul, and this month is the best for foodies. There are so many wonderful booths at the fairs and festivals. The sweets that we exchange all just add to our happiness. Who doesn’t like a good soup? So, brush all the dust off those soup recipes but better yet—try a new one! Gather at each other’s houses, have a good time, and make a lot of memories. October is also a time when the reader inside us gets evoked. When the weather turns cool there is nothing better than to wrap up in a warm blanket, set on the patio and start a new book. So, embrace the change in the weather, the leaves and enjoy October!
Hope to see ya soon, Carla
