William Corwin Obituary
William A. Corwin, Jr., age 67, passed away on April 14, 2022 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born January 11, 1955, in St. Paul, Minnesota to William A. Corwin, Sr. and Audrey J Corwin, which whom preceded him in death, as well as brother, Dennis Corwin, and his beloved Taffy.
Bill enlisted in the Army in 1973 and served as a vehicle mechanic in Germany. After being discharged under honorable conditions, he returned home to marry Jean M Vadnais in St. Paul, Minnesota. The couple went on to have two daughters, Danielle and Tara, and were married for 18 years.
Residing in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 20 years, Bill enjoyed riding his Harley, working on hot rods, and the warm sun on his face. He was a wonderful father to his girls and an even better Bampa to his grandchildren. His family was the light of his life, and he was ours. Anytime we ever needed anything, he was there in a moment’s notice, even if he was 700 miles away.
Bill is survived by his two daughters, Danielle (Jesse) Corwin, Tara (Michael) Corwin; four grandchildren, Hayley Roberts, Kayla Corwin, Logan Hesch, and Michante Corwin; one great grandchild, Sage Patterson; four sisters, Sharon (Gary) Todora, Linda (Archie) Branville, Joyce Palme, and Niece (Scott) Hubbard; one brother, Terry (Mell) Johnson and many nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends.
I want to give thanks to the staff (his girls) at Arbor Village for taking wonderful care of him and treating him as their own. A special thank you to someone who always went a step further and gave extra patience and love, to KaCee.
To honor my dad’s memory, I am holding a celebration of his life on Sunday, June 12 at 2-5pm at the VFW Post 6690 1323 Sibley Memorial Hwy Mendota, MN 55150. I invite anyone who knew him to attend, bring a memory, a laugh, and share a bite to eat with us to remember his life and kind heart.
A private family inurnment will be Monday, June 13 at 1pm at Resurrection Cemetery.
