Vivian Y. Slothour, 86, went home to her Lord and Savior, Friday, September 10, 2021 at University Village Retirement Center in Tulsa, OK. Born on October 17, 1934 in Washington Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Washington Wenrich, Jr. and Mary Rebecca (Kintzel) Wenrich. She was married for 61 years to the late Edward F. Slothour, Jr., MD. She is preceded in death by her brother, William R Wenrich.
Vivian was a graduate of Pine Grove High School, Reading Hospital School of Nursing, and Rhema Bible Training Center. She was most recently a member of Victory Christian Center, Tulsa, OK. Vivian lived her life following Jesus’s “Great Commission”, having a personal relationship with him through good and bad times. She was a passionate Prayer Warrior, and shared the Gospel to all she encountered. Vivian lifted up her beautiful voice in hymn and praise songs throughout her days. She was always ready with her pitch pipe in hand when a group gathered to sing.
Vivian is survived by her sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vivian, along with her husband, will be interred with her parents and brother at Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove, PA.
