He was a proud active member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Association for over 58 years, until his death. He also taught for 13 years as Certified Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Instructor in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After retirement, he worked at MetLife as a security guard until 2003, which he thoroughly enjoyed, due to how he loved interacting with people. During the last active years of his life, he fulfilled one of his dreams of traveling all over the USA in his RV, making several trips with his mother, his sisters, his brother-in-law Bill, and with friends. Traveling Route 66 through Oklahoma to California was very special for him. Troy traveled it as a child, with his mother and father, when it was still a dirt road. He experienced Route 66 through the years as it changed and moved on into history. Troy's life was a site seeing journey, that has also moved on into history. His loved ones and friends will cherish their happy memories, miss him very much, and look forward to their reunion in Heaven.
