Ronnie Gerald Jones, age 76, passed away in his home on January 4, 2021 with the peace and presence of the Lord Jesus Christ in his heart.
He was born December 12, 1944 in Hoyt, Oklahoma, the 7th of eight children. He attended elementary school in Hoyt and graduated Stigler High School in 1962. He attended Southeastern A&M and the University of Tulsa, graduating with an Accounting Degree. He served in the United States Army in the Tropic Thunder, 25th Infantry Division from September 1966 to the end of 1969. He received his MBA from Northeastern State University and received his CPA certification.
He married Beverly Jean Gillum September 10, 1966 in Tulsa. In 2004, he retired from over 40 years with the Federal Government, Department of Energy and the Department of the Interior. He also had his own tax service he operated until this year.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Jones of Tulsa; daughter, Lee Andra White, son-in-law, Gary White and grandson Dylan White of Fort Smith, Arkansas; son, Gregg Jones, daughter-in-law, Tracy Jones, grandsons Nicholas and Bryson Jones of Broken Arrow; son, Ryan Jones of Glenpool; granddaughter, Alexis Johnston, grandson-in-law, Derek Johnston and great grandson, Kade Johnston of Broken Arrow; brother, Franklin Jones and sister-in-law, Tsuneko Jones of Broken Arrow; sister, Betty Wilson and brother-in-law, Ivan Wilson of Sapulpa; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army or Paralyzed Veterans of America.
A public viewing will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday, January 10 at the Rivercrest Chapel in Bixby. Private family services will be held.
