Ronald Melvin Moore passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa. He was 78 years old. Ron will be laid to rest in their family’s cemetery in Indiana. Services are currently pending.
One of seven children, Ron was born November 9, 1943 in Bridgeman, Michigan. He was the son of Albert and Viola Moore. Ron’s family lived several places during his childhood since his father was a truck driver. He was primarily raised in LaPorte, Indiana, however he graduated high school in Walkerton, Indiana with the Class of 1962.
Ron met Ann Blanda while attending a dance at the LaPorte Armory. It was truly love at first sight! The couple married only eight days later and would build a wonderful life together.
Ron and Ann were very successful operating their residential construction business through the years. They decided to relocate to Broken Arrow over 20 years ago where they established Quality Construction and Remodeling.
The Moore’s met many friends and became quite involved in the local community. They were members of the Bethany Church in Broken Arrow. Ron loved antique cars and was a member of both the Corvette and Chevy clubs in Tulsa. He was most recently proud of his Cadillac XLR purchase. They also enjoyed camping and boating on Lake Michigan, as well as taking several boating trips to Florida.
Surviving family include his loving wife, Ann of Broken Arrow; his son, Timothy Moore and wife, Charity of Tulsa; two grandsons: Mason Lee Moore and Aaron Lee Moore; and siblings, Darlene Harris, Gordon Moore, Richard Moore, Hazel Edgington, Karen Doll, and Laurie Johnson all of LaPorte, Indiana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
