Born June 19, 1958, in Perry, Oklahoma, Phillip Carl Webb was the third of five children born to Carl Raymond and Elizabeth Virginia (Henderson) Webb. Raised and educated in Tulsa, Phillip or “Flip” as he was also known, attended Holmes Elementary, Wright Junior High and Edison High School.
In his youth, Phillip enjoyed playing baseball, riding his bicycle all over Tulsa (with his baby sister in tow), camping in the backyard with his siblings, and summer weekend trips to Perry Lake in the family’s blue station wagon.
Following high school, Phillip joined the U.S. Army and was eventually stationed in Korea. Through his service, Phillip was awarded marksmanship medals and found his niche working as a computer programmer.
Upon his honorable discharge, Phillip would return to Tulsa where he had a long career as an IT tech. He would work for various companies including Reda Pump and WorldCom. Phillip had a brilliant mind and was great at his job, but nothing brought him more joy than being a father to his children: Daniel, Erika, and Desirae.
It was not uncommon for Phillip to take his kids outdoors to enjoy the same activities he found joy in as a child. Together, he and his children had many camping outings where he taught them to fish and even to hunt. Dad’s house was also known for video gaming and epic Halo parties.
In recent years, Phillip operated his own lawn care service. Again, a way to be outdoors enjoying God’s creation.
Described as: funny, sweet, protective, and intelligent, Phillip would quickly drop and do for others! He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
Phillip passed from this life on July 26, 2021 in Tulsa. He was 63.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia.
Phillip is survived by: his father, Carl Raymond Webb; his wife, Kristi Webb; his children: Daniel Webb, Erika Green, and Desirae Webb; his siblings: Terri Diamond, Susie Laird, Judi Spence, and Patti Lane.
