Services to honor and celebrate the life of Peggy Sherrer will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023 in the RiverCrest Chapel and Event Center. Peggy passed from this life on Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Tulsa. She was 78.
Peggy was born September 3, 1944, at home, in Spicewood Texas. She was welcomed by her parents Michael Wall, Sr. and Winona (Heine) Wall. The Wall's would move to Atoka County, Oklahoma, more specifically Caney, Oklahoma, where Peggy would spend her years growing up with her siblings: Becky, Laverne, and Michael, Jr.
A happy and carefree spirit, Peggy had a distinct and contagious laugh. Her smile lit up the room and she loved to sing and dance. She was a pretty gal and was often referred to as "a looker"! Indeed, her hair and nails were always done, and she was rarely caught without her lipstick on.
A hard worker, Peggy was sure to provide for her family. Tenacious is a word that helps to describe her character and devotion. As a mother, she was sure to have her kids in church. Peggy, too, enjoyed attending church and reading her Bible. She was also a great cook and spent a lot of time sewing - making her kids' clothing. She even taught her daughter, Marsha, to knit and crochet. She loved the sunshine and enjoyed trying her hand at gardening through the years.
In her latter years, Peggy kept her snacks and a Diet Coke within arm's reach.
She is survived by: her three daughters: Marsha Khattab and husband, Saleh; Courtney Sherrer and Kelly Umber and husband, Tony; grandchildren: Katherine Ronnow, Daniel Khattab, Gracyn, Addison, and Carson Umber, and Sean Niro; a great-grandchild, Skylar Ronnow and two sisters: Becky Earl and Laverne Marson.
She was preceded in death by: her parents and a brother, Michael Wall, Jr.
