Patricia Helen Wolfenbarger

Patricia “Patty” Helen Wolfenbarger passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021 in Broken Arrow. The family will receive visitors from 4-6 PM Saturday, October 9, at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service.

Born August 26, 1950 in Fairvolt, Minnesota, Patty was the daughter of Raymond and Pearl (Pleschourt) LeBlanc. She graduated from Sand Springs High with the Class of 1968. Patty married Lonnie Wolfenbarger January 24, 1969 in Sand Springs. They were set up on a blind date when Patty was only 19 years old. Instead of attending a party together that was planned, the couple fell in love at the Admiral Twin Drive-In Theatre. Patty and Lonnie just celebrated over 52 wonderful years of marriage.

Patty spent most of her working life as a secretary in the banking industry. She was employed by Banc First, working in the Claremore, Pryor, and Sand Springs branches through the years. Patty and Lonnie spent their retirement years living in Catoosa where they enjoyed many great times at the Hard Rock Casino.

Patty loved to play Texas Hold ‘Em Poker and the slots at the Hard Rock. She also loved to go fishing at Claremore Lake. It was there she once caught a 7.1 lb bass! Patty and Lonnie loved spending time together not only at the casino, but also enjoyed attending the sprint car races every Friday and Saturday night. Patty loved to dance while traveling with Lonnie and his country band. She was a downright nice person who always strived to do the right thing. Patty will not soon be forgotten by a host of family and friends who loved her.

Surviving family members include her husband, Lonnie Wolfenbarger; her sister, Marie Lamb of Corpus Christi, Texas; and several nieces and nephews in the area.
