Noah Webster Easton, Jr. passed away at his home January 22, 2021 at the age of 94. “Jr” was born November 11, 1926 to Noah Webb Easton and Mary Jane Connally in Porum, Oklahoma. The family later moved to Jenks with Jr. attending school there through the 7th grade. In the late 1930’s, the family moved to Bixby to operate a cotton gin business. Around this time they purchased a farm just outside of town and started farming.
At the age of seventeen, Jr. enlisted in the United States Navy and served during World War II. After serving in the Navy, Jr. came home to Bixby and joined his brothers and father working the farm and in the operation of Easton Feed Mill. He later expanded the business into Easton Fertilizer Service. Jr. and his brothers also developed Indian Springs housing development on Lake Eufaula.
As farmland became development land, in this area, he and his family transitioned into Easton Sod Farms. Jr. had lived and operated his businesses in the downtown Bixby area for over 80 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, three loving brothers: Marion, Craig and Joe. Jr lost his youngest son, Danny Paul at the young age of 31 in 2001. Also, preceded in death by his grandson, Mark Allen Reed; and granddaughter, Tara Glick.
He is survived by his wife, Joy of the home; his children John Easton and Beverly Glick of Bixby, Ed Reed of Broken Arrow, Linda Conner of Haskell, David Reed of Purcell, Shannon Roberts Ritchie of Broken Arrow and Jennifer Meier of Bixby; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
