Keith affectionately known as “PEANUT” to some was born July 29, 1958 in Tulsa. He was the son of Marion and Sandra Marie (Buckendorf) Nusbaum. He would move to Sand Springs at the age of 5, where he grew up and graduated from Charles Page High School. Keith pursued a 23-year career with the City of Tulsa Water Department where he recently retired. He enjoyed his work and worked hard until his health prohibited him from doing so.
Keith met the love of his life Salbabe, Darlin to him. The couple married May 4, 1996, in Henryetta at her mother’s home. They continued the love and admiration for each other for 26 years. He was a kind man with a big heart, always willing to help anyone who needed it. He was an avid hunter and sportsman. Keith enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, pheasants and fishing for crappie and bass. He traveled to western Oklahoma annually for the dove hunts in Black Kettle. It’s been said that Keith would have thrived in the age of hunters and gatherers. He would say, "I was born a century or two too late."
Keith leaves behind a host of friends and colleagues that loved him.
Surviving family members include his wife, Sally; uncle, Mike Buckendorf; uncle and aunt, Don and Mary Nusbaum; aunt, Beth Nusbaum Craddock; aunt, Debbie Craig Cole; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends. Many of those friends Keith considered to be his brothers.
