Born September 29, 1960 in New Mexico, Lori was the daughter of William H. Phillips and Clovis (McIntosh) Phillips. She was also welcomed by two older siblings: brother, Bud and sister, Lisa.
The Phillips children would spend time in New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma as they followed their dad and his career in education. It would be in the community of Valliant, Oklahoma where Lori would attend her Senior year of high school and where she became a graduate.
Eventually, Lori would settle in Texas. When working, she had a career in wastewater management and held jobs with numerous municipalities. When not at work, Lori could be found outdoors hunting, kayaking, or gardening. She was also an accomplished wood worker and created the cutest little things with her hands. Lori loved a good variety of music and enjoyed sharing that interest with others.
Described as: busy, sweet, and loving, Lori knew how to soothe and comfort those around her. She also knew when a little bit of humor was needed and had the perfect giggle to accompany those lighthearted moments.
Lori passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 in Catoosa. She was 59.
She is survived by: her father, William H. Phillips; brother, Bud Phillips and his wife, Cindy, sister, Lisa Becker along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clovis.
Lori’s family will gather to remember her in the near future where she will be laid to rest with her mother. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bixby Funeral Service.
