Linda Ann (Kreymer) Plunkett was born June 27, 1954, in Opelousas, Louisiana to Archie Kreymer and Nora (Skipworth) Kreymer.
At the young age of 10, the Kreymer family moved to Bixby. Their home was settled on an acre of land where they kept their horse, Sugar. Linda spent a lot of time riding, as well as, being thrown off. Nevertheless, she loved that horse! Linda attended and graduated from Bixby High School, Class of 1972, where she was a member of the cheerleading squad.
Upon graduation, Linda found employment as a court clerk at the courthouse. Set up by her co-workers, she was introduced to a young man, David Plunkett. Their first date was chaperoned at a local burger joint. Dave made quite the impression on Linda and she agreed to future dates, alone! The couple married on October 17, 1975, at the First United Methodist Church in Bixby.
Dave was employed as a pipeline operator and was quickly transferred to Beaver, Oklahoma. The newlyweds packed up and moved out west. Over the next 10 years, Dave’s job would require the couple to move several more times. They made their home in Snyder, Texas where they welcomed the births of children, Cody, Nicole, and Jennifer. Several years later, the Plunkett family moved to Big Spring, Texas before moving back home to Bixby.
Once the kids began school, Linda found employment with Bixby Public Schools as an encumbrance clerk. When not working, she was cheering on her children in their various activities. She never missed a game: baseball, softball, swimming, soccer, and football.
Linda also loved entertaining and threw the most amazing Christmas parties. She was an amazing cook, but more than anything she loved having her family together. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch and needlepoint. She also liked spending time outdoors camping and fishing.
Linda passed away July 17, 2022 at her home. She was 68.
