Services to honor and remember the life of Larry Loggins will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the Rivercrest Chapel & Event Center. Family will receive friends for visitation, prior, on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. also at Rivercrest.
Larry Wayne Loggins 63, went home to be with the Lord on January 8th, 2023. Larry was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 24th, 1959, to Jasper Loggins of Vernon, Texas and Evelyn Loggins of Riverton, Kansas. Larry was born in raised in Tulsa and lived with his parents and older sister Linda Smith. He went to Patrick Henry Elementary for grade school, then Edison Preparatory School for high school until finishing in 1968. Upon finishing high school, he took classes at Tulsa Junior College. He held various positions in his work history from painter to casino executive.
He resided in the South Tulsa/Bixby area for the last 24 years of his life. He was deeply devoted to his Christian faith, spending an hour or so, daily, reading Scripture - including his favorite John 10: 27-30. He also enjoyed watching old westerns, John Wayne movies, WW2 movies, and organized crime dramas. In the later years of his life, his favorite activities included going to estate sales, classic car and gun shows, listening to 70s and 80s rock music, and doting on his children and grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by: his parents, Jasper (1982) and Evelyn (2013) Loggins.
He is survived by: his children: Ashley Sigourney (Landon) of Tulsa, OK; Steven Jacob Loggins (Courtney), Jessica Nicole Loggins, and Rachel Blan (Hayden); his three grandchildren: Caden Anthony Henderson, Declan Blan, and Koen Lee Loggins; his fiancé, Melissa Takach of Tulsa, OK; his sister, Linda Smith (Duwayne) of Broken Arrow, OK and their two children: Dr. Christopher Smith (Pamela) of Owasso, OK; and Jeremy Smith (Sharice) of Broken Arrow, OK.
He loved his family, friends, and neighbors very much and will be greatly missed by them all.
His celebration of life service will be held on January 17th at Rivercrest Chapel in Bixby, OK at 2:00 p.m. Larry will be laid to everlasting rest at Floral Haven cemetery in Broken Arrow following the service.
