Kathleen Loretta Olsen “Kathy” passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Saint Francis Hospital South in Tulsa. She was 69 years old. Born July 5, 1953 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, Kathy was the daughter of Conrad and Patricia (Norby) Angerhofer. She was raised in the south suburb of Chicago, graduating from Evergreen Park High School in 1971.

It was a “Charlie Charlie” dance where Kathy met Greg Olsen. The couple were married October 6, 1995 in Palos Park. Greg’s career in energy enabled the couple to travel extensively, living in Saudi Arabia for several years. While in Chicago, Kathy was employed as a legal secretary for John Carr, as well as the Pinto, Burns, & Libman law firms.

Kathy and Greg spent most of their retirement years together near Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the peaceful countryside know as Rogers County. She was an avid quilter, loved sewing, and a member of the Red Hat Society in Tulsa. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Drug Day foundations of the Evergreen Park Police Department or the Roger’s County Sherriff. Kathy also supported the Wildheart Ranch and Animal Shelter near Foyil, Oklahoma.

Surviving family include her husband, Gregory Olsen of Claremore, Oklahoma; her son, Dennis A. Kananowicz and wife, Magdalene of Glenn Allen, Alaska; her granddaughter, Jamie Marotta and husband, Jake, and their children, Annalise, Leah and Benjamin of Peotone, Illinois; her cousin, Vince Angerhofer of Lemont, Illinois and his daughter, Melissa Alfara.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Curt Kananowicz.
