Jamie Scott Farrah

May 24, 1934 ~ July 24, 2023 (age 89) 89 Years Old

Obituary

Jamie Scott Farrah born in Oklahoma City in 1934, the daughter of Mabel Hubatka Scott and James Otis Scott. She married Charles "Chuck" Farrah, only days after graduating from Putnam City High School with the Class of 1952. Chuck had just returned from military service in Korea.

Jamie worked for McDonald Douglas in Tulsa, utilizing her skill in shorthand until they had their first child Steve. Chuck's job with American Airlines took the budding family to Illinois where their second son, Kevin, was born. Together they built Chuck's dream of having a private airport just outside of Chicago.

Raising two boys and managing an airport kept Jamie very busy. After Chuck's retirement from American, they decided to downsize and moved to Grove, Oklahoma where they pursued a life of retirement with fishing and sailing. The couple built a new home on Grand Lake in 1990. They also enjoyed touring the country in their RV. Chuck passed in 2000.

That didn't slow down Jamie, as she hooked up with a Texas oil man and spent several adventures traveling to Australia. Unfortunately, she lost another man in her life to cancer. For her last twelve years, Jamie developed a relationship with Tulsa artist and architect, Don Buoen.

Jamie is survived by Don, his daughter, Kara and her husband, Chris; son Steven and his wife, Kim in Northlake, TX, with daughters Erica Hicke and husband, Aaron, with great grandchildren Evan, Noah, Michael, Luke, Domynic, and Angel; Megan Farrah and fiancé, Michael Nall, with great grandchildren Preston and Violet, Aunna Styer and husband, Clay with great grandchildren Adeline, Micah, and another on the way; son, Kevin from Las Cruces, NM and wife, Radel, with stepsons Nolan Bunker and wife, Janaya, with great grandchildren, Cadence and Camden; Taylor Bunker and older sister, Jean Busch in Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her brother, J.O. Scott, and her sisters, Lola Morris and Nila Gibbs.

Her burial will be in the Braman, OK Cemetery next to Chuck. No services are planned at this time.
