James Don Soendker was born April 13, 1971, in Ottawa, Kansas, to Kenneth D. Harrington and Cathy (Wright) Harrington. His growing up years were spent in Topeka, Kansas where he was adopted by Don Soendker. This, when Don married James’ mother, Cathy.
In Topeka, James enjoyed playing baseball, in school, and he also excelled in drafting. His passion for design and drafting led him to choose a career as a piping designer. Through the years, James would work for various companies in the petroleum chemical industry. He was currently employed by Holly in Tulsa.
When he wasn’t working, James loved to be on an adventure. Those adventures included riding motorcycles with his dad, Ken, and hiking and camping with his son, Kory. Indeed, James took countless trips to the mountains, in Colorado, and to the hills and woods of Arkansas.
Hard-working, honest, and super-dedicated to his son are words that describe James. James passed away on December 23, 2020, in Tulsa. He was 49. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
