Ian was born March 29, 2005 in Tulsa, the son of Gwen Adair and Travis Neal.  He spent most of his early childhood near Leonard while attending Bixby Public Schools.  Ian played soccer on the YMCA team, and loved riding bicycles, scooters, and his skateboard at the Jenks Skate Park.  Music was a big part of Ian’s life from the very beginning.  He began playing the trumpet in the 6th grade and was promoted to the French Horn in the 7th grade, earning 1st chair for several years.

The Marching Pride of Bixby lost one of their most cherished members.  Ian’s class was recently invited to play in Dublin Ireland during 2023.  In addition to the school band, Ian spent a lot of weekends “jamming” with his friends on the guitar in his garage.  He loved covering classic rock bands such as Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses, and Metallica.

Ian was always most interested in serving others, and never wanted any attention brought to himself.  He was continually repairing and tuning musical instruments for his family and his friends in the band at school.  Ian was especially good with children.  He loved holding babies and making them smile.

Surviving family members include his mother, Gwen Adair and fiancé, Tommy Wood; his father, Travis Neal and step-mother, Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Deborah Adair; paternal grandparents, Linda and John Clark; his brother, Tyler Neal; great-grandmother, Pauline Hogan; his aunt, Becky Goad and uncle, Wayne, and their children, Lexi, Samuel, Noah, and Grayson of Stonebluff; his aunt, Kathryn Hall and uncle, Mike and their children, Connor and Judy of Muskogee; uncle Matthew Adair of Wichita; and uncle Ian Adair and aunt, Amber and their children, Zander and Eason of Broken Arrow; and his uncle Patrick Adair of Stonebluff.
