Gramilla Jones Obituary

Gramilla J. Jones passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Broken Arrow at the age of 88. She was born July 20, 1932 to Dewey and Nettie Hall. She graduated from Yeager High School and then went on to attend East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. While living in Ada in 1954 Gramilla met and married the love of her life, Donald R. Jones. Gramilla worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and retiring from AT&T. She was a supervisor and excellent employee, receiving many outstanding awards for her exceptional service. Gramilla and Don loved to snow ski and travel especially with their sons in Aspen, Crested Butte, Keystone, Colorado, they also traveled overseas to Spain. As Gramilla and her husband, Don got older they would spend six weeks in Florida and Texas coast beaches most every year. Gramilla loved to golf and made a few hole in ones. They lived in a gated community across from the country club where she and her husband were members and drove their golf cart to play golf. Gramilla was blessed with many great friends, in which some of them played bridge with her. She loved to shop, especially at Christmas time and buying presents for all her grandchildren. She loved seeing all her family as much as possible. Gramilla was loved by all who knew her. Gramilla was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald, two sons, Clay and Mark Jones and two brothers, Dale and Harold. She is survived by loving two sons, Vince and Greg Jones; two brothers, Quentin and Ronnie Hall, sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
