Services honoring Glen Austin Hughes are currently pending. Interment will take place in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Glen passed away Thursday evening, June 30, 2022 in Henryetta. He was 77.
Born March 16, 1945 in Portland, Oregon, Glen was the son of William and Lois (Counts) Hughes. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest, earning his associates degree in Carpentry from Everett Community College. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Glen worked as a carpenter throughout his lifetime and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners of America.
A man of faith, Glen was a devoted member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. His favorite scriptures were Isaiah 43:10 and John 5:28-29.
Glen loved technology, often operating up to 4 devices at one time.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of the home; children, Debbie and Larry Hughes; stepchildren Leanna and Richard Moon; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Israel and his brother, Bill.
