Fred Perryman

March 7, 1934 ~ February 16, 2021 (age 86)


Services to honor and celebrate the life of Fred J. Perryman will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 in the First Baptist Church of Haskell. Interment will follow in Haskell Cemetery.

Fred. J. Perryman entered an eternity in heaven on February 16, 2021 at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 9 days. He was born March 7, 1934, in Farmington, Arkansas to Claude Hartful Perryman and Mary Catherine (Smith) Perryman. Their family moved from Farmington to California in 1938 then to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1939.

Fred graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1952. On September 20th, of that same year, he married the love of his life, Beatrice Ann Stallings. They were married almost 46 years until her death on March 16, 1998.

Fred served in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After his return, he worked for Wonder Bread, Century Electronics, hung wall paper, and was a Tulsa Firefighter for 20 years. In later years, he drove a bus for Travel Tours. He was accompanied on many of his trips by his good friend and companion, LaRaye Damme. They enjoyed traveling together and spending time in each other's company.

The most important decision of Fred's life was when he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Haskell, as well as, a member of the Haskell Masonic Lodge and Akdar Shrine of Tulsa. He loved helping pass out food from the food truck each week last summer.

Fred was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Ann; and three siblings: Bonnie Herring, Edith Funkhouser, and Claude Perryman, Jr.

He is survived by: his son, Butch Perryman and wife, Rannah; granddaughter, Ommi Moschak and husband, Mike all of Haskell; grandson, Raef Perryman and wife, Ashley of Langley; three great-grandsons: Ryker Fagg, Tuck Perryman, and Bridger Perryman; one great-granddaughter, Sarah Moschak; one sister, Jane Hurst of Berryhill and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
