Deborah LeAnne Greenich (Stanton) ended her 7-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease at age 68 to join our Heavenly Father on Saturday, March 21, 2020. She was born in her childhood home in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 15, 1951 to parents Laura and Doug Stanton.
She was survived by her husband of 32 years, Jerry Greenich; daughters Tammy and Pamela; her son Michael and daughter-in-law Ashley; granddaughters Brooke, Miranda, Annika, Karlie, Lorelei, and Brynlee; grandsons Rustin, Tyler, Cody, Chaz, and Elijah; and great-grandson Caesar. Her sister Karen Nixon and brother Gary Stanton. She was preceded in death by her sister Linda, her father Doug, and mother Laura.
Deborah retired as a respected landman in the Oil and Gas industry. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano, singing in the church choir, and serving our Lord Jesus by volunteering at Hospitality House, the John 3:16 Mission, and with the Blue Star Mothers of America. She was loving and kind to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
In accordance with recent CDC recommendations, social gatherings should be limited to 10 people. Only immediate family will be attending her memorial service in person. However, her family would like to extend an invitation to anyone who wishes to attend the service virtually, through Zoom, Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
Deborah expressed the wish for no tears or sadness upon her departure. She instead wanted her loved ones to celebrate her life with joy and to reflect on the happy memories. To honor her wishes, there will be an in-person gathering to celebrate Deborah’s life, held at a later date.
