David Marion Leeds

A funeral service remembering David Marion Leeds will be held 1 PM Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Rivercrest Chapel in Bixby. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 PM Sunday at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service. David passed away, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his Bixby residence. He was 54 years old.

Born November 7, 1967 in Tulsa, David was the son of Norman M. and Karen K. (Christian) Leeds. He grew up in east Tulsa, graduating from East Central High School in 1986. David was quite the competitor on the Wrestling team. Following high school, David attended the local vo-tech where he received aeronautical training.

David was a hard worker in retail management for most of his career. Through the years, he was employed by Walgreen’s, CVS, Mayes Drug, and Drug Warehouse, serving as District Manager. While working at Homeland grocery store in South Tulsa, he would meet Melinda Sanders. The couple married Sept. 30, 1995 in the Sharp Chapel at the University of Tulsa. David was most recently employed by RML Laboratories. He lived in the Tulsa area his entire lifetime.

Gentle, sweet, quiet, shy, goofy, sarcastic, and quick witted are words that would best describe David Leeds. His beloved “wise cracks” will not soon be forgotten by a host of friends and family who loved him. A lifelong football fan, David will always be a member of the Raider Nation! Most of all, David loved his family dearly - and cherished every moment he spent with them.

Surviving family include his wife, Melinda; his mother, Karen; his two children, Ellis Chandler Sanders and his wife, Pamela, and Madison Caylee Leeds; four grandchildren: Jordan, Joshua, Kenzie, and Ady Seifert; his sister, Elecia Kern and her husband, Ken, and his brother, Randy Leeds; niece Kayla and her husband, Bretton Pierce; and his nephew, Keith Kern.

David was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
