Daniel Mark Kleefeld

Daniel Mark Kleefeld, a Tulsa musician and minister, passed away February 17 at the Clarehouse hospice center in Tulsa. He was 63 years old. The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday, February 21, in the Rivercrest Chapel and Event Center, 13329 S. Memorial Drive in Bixby. A memorial ceremony will be held 2:30 PM March 3, 2023 at the Bridge Church, 7731 E. 119th Street, also in Bixby.

Born January 12, 1960 in Fargo, North Dakota, Daniel was the son of Paul and Ruth (Plath) Kleefeld. At the age of 10, Daniel started taking piano lessons from a blind teacher. Following Daniel's high school graduation, he attended Youth with a Mission in California. While visiting his brother in Tulsa and attending a church picnic, Daniel met Linda Bracht in LaFortune Park. The couple were married in 1983.

From this union were born two daughters, Lisa and Courtney. Daniel's family always brought a tremendous amount of joy to his life. He and Linda would make Tulsa their home where they raised their family.

Daniel pursued a career in music ministry, completing his formal training at Rhema Bible Church and Grace Fellowship's School of the Local Church. He was extremely musically talented, especially regarding his abilities to play the piano and keyboard. Daniel loved to help hurting people through his music. He ministered at concerts in the United States, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. He recorded four CD's and a DVD. He also performed at several fine dining establishments around Tulsa such as the Adam's Mark Hotel, Warren Duck Club, and the Polo Grill.

Many wonderful memories were made by Daniel and his daughters sharing their love of music together. He also loved chess, hiking, and photography. Daniel was very sociable and never met a stranger. He leaves behind a host of friends and family to cherish his memory.

Surviving family include his wife, Linda Kleefeld; his daughters, Lisa Drake and her husband, Jonathan, and Courtney Kleefeld; his brothers, Tim Kleefeld and wife, Adelia, James Kleefeld, and Stephen Kleefeld and his wife, Veronica; and his sister, Mary Frohrip and her husband, David.

Daniel's parents preceded him in death.
