Catheryn Cox's Memorial Service will Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at New Bethel Assembly of God, 24918 East 111th St S, Broken Arrow, OK 74014.
Catheryn “Cathy” Cox, a long-time resident of the Tulsa area, died Sunday the 15th of December at Colonial Manor Nursing Center. She was 86.
Born in 1933, in Miami, OK, Cathy briefly attended Webster High School. She married her husband Wilburn Cox in 1949.
Cathy spent most of her working life at Zebco Inc., in Tulsa, OK, working as a plastic injection motorist. She also worked for St. Francis Hospital in housekeeping.
Cathy enjoyed good food with family and friends. She loved long car rides anywhere her car would take her. She also loved being outdoors and was always ready for a picnic in the park. Her favorite sweet things were Cherry Pecan and Chocolate Ice Cream.
She was preceded in death by: her husband Wilburn Cox, Sr.; daughter, Linda Grove; brothers: James McKnight and Theryl Reed; sister, Romana Hillhouse.
She is survived by: her granddaughter, Jennifer Grove and several grandchildren in the Tulsa area including: Joshua France, Shawn McCall, Cheryl McCall, Emily McCall, Noah McCall, Jeremiah Cox; son, Wilburn Cox, Jr.; sister, Aleta Romaine; and son-in-law, Harold Grove.
