Family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday evening also at RiverCrest. Blanche passed from this life on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. She was 91.
Born June 18, 1929, in Nevada, Missouri, Blanche was the daughter of John and Mattie (Pulis) Clemensen. The sixth of seven children born to the Clemensen’s, Blanche grew up in her birth community where she attended school and became a graduate of Nevada High School. Following high school, Blanche began to work at the local telephone company. It was there she met a handsome, young man named James David “Jim” Agee. Jim was an electrician and sparks certainly flew between these two. The couple married on June 27, 1947 and celebrated 40 years together before Jim’s’ untimely passing in 1988.
A wonderful wife and devoted mother to her four children, Blanche spent many years serving as a homemaker. There are no remembrances of Blanche sitting down, taking it easy or relaxing during those years! There were also times that Blanche worked outside of the home. She worked some in retail, she completed training as a Nurse’s Aide and worked in that capacity for a time. She even made draperies for an interior design firm and served as office administrator for her husband’s building materials company, Jim Agee Co. There, she was sure to keep everyone in line!
When she wasn’t working, Blanche could be found sewing, quilting or painting. Her treasured works will, now more than ever, be a source of comfort and love for her family and friends. Blanche was described as devoted and industrious. She will mostly be remembered for her firm faith and belief in her Lord and Savior. The family takes comfort in knowing that she is with her Creator and finally reunited with her husband – something she longed for over the past several years.
