Services to honor and celebrate the life Betty Earp will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2022 at Crossroads Church, Jenks. Family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service. Betty passed from this life on Monday, February 28, 2022. She was 88.

Born February 7, 1934, in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, Betty was the daughter of Emzy Lee and Sarah Frances (Pennington) Creekmore. Betty, a life-long resident of Jenks, was the baby of four and although she grew up in tough times – never knew she didn’t have enough.

In her youth, Betty spent her fair share of time in the cotton fields and at the farm helping her family. Living through these tough times enabled Betty to teach her children and grandchildren life values and life lessons that had a positive impact on them. In those days, Betty was known to be thoughtful, caring, and giving.

Married to Leon “Red” Earp, Betty definitely had her work cut out for herself trying to keep “Red” in line. She was certainly proud of him when the City of Jenks honored “Red” with the “Leon “Red” Earp Picnic and Trail”.

To help provide for her family, Betty worked as a caregiver, housekeeper, and a homemaker. Through the years, her hobbies included: sewing, crocheting, painting and gardening.

The last months of Betty’s life were very difficult. She was lovingly cared for by her family and they now take comfort in knowing that Betty is at peace and rest. Betty passed from this life on February 28, 2022. She was 88.

Betty was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Leon “Red” Earp; her son, Ronald Wayne “Ronnie” Earp; three infant baby boys: James R. Earp, Tony M. Earp, and Michael Don Earp; two sisters: Martha and Margie.

She is survived by: her daughter-in-law, Dobin Earp; grandchildren: Jennifer Coon and husband, Jesse and Aaron Earp and wife, Angela; 16 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Jay Creekmore and wife, Darlene along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
