Services celebrating the life of Bentley Ray Thompson will be held 10 AM Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the DestinyLife Church in Collinsville. Bentley passed away Thursday, May 28, 2021 at the age of 14.
Born November 17, 2006 in Tulsa, Bentley was the only child of Shane and Kendy Thompson. He grew up in the Owasso area and attended Collinsville Middle School. Bentley was very much loved by his family, his friends, and every one of the teachers and faculty at school. He played soccer for the Thunder Cats and most recently, ran Cross Country on the Collinsville Middle School Cross Country Team. Coincidentally, the Cardinal was always his favorite bird. Bentley was proud to be a Collinsville Cardinal.
Bentley cherished the time he spent with his family and loved them dearly. He enjoyed every movie night at home with his parents, learning to drive at the lake with Papa Mark, and spending time with his pets, Panic and Brina. Bentley enjoyed listening to music, playing video games, wrestling with his dad, and spending time with his mother, who he would say made the best sausage bread ever! For the past couple of years, Bentley operated his own lawn mowing business, “Bentley’s Lawn Care.”
Mature, helpful, polite, and compassionate are words that best describe Bentley Thompson. He was analytical and thought provoking. Bentley will not soon be forgotten by a community who loved him.
Surviving family members include his parents, Shane and Kendy; his grandparents, Patrick Thompson and Rudeana Brookshire, Mark and Debra Erwin, and Sharla and Rodney Eskew; great grandparents, Sue Jackson, Papa Kent, Drew Dye, and Ruby Ketron; his aunts and uncles, Colton Eskew; Amie and Jason Waugh, their children, Bryson and Trevor; Ladena and Cache Hill, and their children, Camden and Layla; Renee and Daniel Weil, and their son, Dillon.
