Arley Terry Obituary

Arley Lee Terry, 81, of Garland Texas, passed away peacefully at home on June 29, 2021.

He was born in Bixby, Oklahoma to parents Ira and Florence Terry on December 22, 1939. The second of four boys, Arley graduated from Bixby High School and worked in the local movie theater. He married Geneva Daniels, the love of his life, in 1961.

Arley served in the National Guard and among his employers were Texas Instruments and Raytheon.

While he was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, nothing could take him away from the love and support he gave to his daughter Kimberly and Special Olympics. 

Arley is survived by: his son, Randal Terry; daughter, Kimberly Terry; daughter, Michelle Beattie and husband, Stephen Beattie; grandchildren, Derek and Ashley Beattie; brother, Harley Terry and niece, Shannon Terry. Arley was loved by many friends and family.

Arley was preceded in death by: parents, Ira and Florence Terry; wife, Geneva Terry; brothers: Glen and James Terry.

The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday evening, July 6, 2021,  from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Morris Cemetery Chapel, Morris, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in support of Special Olympics.
