Anna Bertilaccio, born the day after Christmas in 1935, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2022. Her eldest daughter held her hand as she went to her final rest. She was preceded in death by: the love of her life, Andrew, her mother and father, Thomaso and Frances Siculiana, and her dear sister, Marie. Anna is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Leone, her three daughters and their husbands, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Anna and Andrew were married in June 1957, and raised their family in Brooklyn – where they made a wonderful life – surrounded by their extended Italian family and friends. They retired to their summer home in Dingmans Ferry, PA and winter home in Boynton Beach, FL. In each of those places, they made many more friends – all of whom will miss her dearly.
Anna will forever be missed by her girls and their husbands – Linda and Drew, Graceann and Fred, Francine and Joe, and their children and spouses – Ashley & Dustin, Kaitlin & Tyler, Andrew & Jess, Lindsay, Peter & Jaclyn, and Sarah, her great grandchildren – Oliver and Eli, and of course, Charlie – who will be with family for the rest of his furry life.
Mom had many roles in her life - daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. But the one role she loved most of all was that of wife – and while it is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear Mom, we know that she is with her husband and they are once again, holding hands.
Donations in Anna’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service celebrating Mom’s life will be held at a later date.
Rest in beautiful peace, Mom. You are in our hearts forever. Linda, Graceann and Francine
