Terry Alan DePriest, Jr. was born May 10, 1970, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Terry Alan, Sr. and Linda Kay (Stanton) DePriest. Raised in Broken Arrow, Terry enjoyed playing soccer and football in his youth. An avid OU fan, even from the beginning, it seems Terry comes from a long line of Sooners. During breaks or weekends, Terry could be found spending time with his grandparents and, there is no doubt, he was spoiled accordingly. Terry attended Broken Arrow Schools and later attained his G.E.D.
Currently employed by Production Manufacturing, Terry served as the company’s estimator and enjoyed being able to work alongside his dad, son, nephew, and the rest of his extended work family.
When he wasn’t at the office, Terry enjoyed being outside and working on the property he shared with his wife. This, or helping their neighbor work on his land.
Described as stubborn, yet caring, Terry was both giving and hard-headed. He had a great sense of humor and loved picking on and joking with his family and friends. At the same time, he was genuine and sincere and loved helping others. An encourager, he was always there for those he loved. He was very proud when his daughter-in-law, Kari, received her G.E.D. and that he was able to help her achieve that goal.
This son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend will certainly be missed by those he knew and loved. Terry passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 27, 2019. He was 49.
Those he leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy include: his wife, Christina DePriest; children: Blake DePriest and wife, Kari; Brittani DePriest and fiancé, Darienne; and Cassie Davenport; his parents: Terry, Sr. and Linda DePriest; grandchildren: Landon, Preslie, and Paislie; his sister, Kimberly Carver and husband, James; niece and nephews: Hailea, Austin, and Hayden; paternal grandmother, Billie Barnett and mother-in-law, Coral Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Allen and Betty Stanton.
