Services to honor and celebrate the life of Layla Avery Sapp will be 2:00 pm Monday, January 13, 2020 at RiverCrest.
Layla Avery Sapp was born on May 3, 2012, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Jesse Sapp and Felicia Qualls-Sapp. She was also welcomed by a big sister, Brittney and big brother, Aiden. She would later become a big sister herself when little brother, Jude was born.
Despite her lifelong, debilitating health condition, Layla was determined to gain her independence. Although never able to walk, she quickly learned she could roll where she needed to go. This allowed her to keep up with her family and to accomplish so much.
Layla loved listening to music, and she loved watching SpongeBob SquarePants. She especially loved her unicorn and her farajaka, these ‘lovies’ always seemed to cheer her up.
This precious daughter, sister, aunt, and granddaughter has been described as: strong, determined and strong-willed and she will be deeply missed by those who loved her. She is survived by her parents: Jesse Sapp and Felicia Qualls-Sapp; sister, Brittney Delgado, and husband, Jorge; niece, Penelope Delgado; brothers: Aiden and Jude Sapp; paternal grandmother, Cathy Quapaw; paternal grandfather, Terry Sapp; maternal grandmother, Esther Lingle, and husband, Rich.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Freddy Qualls.
