Services to honor and remember the life of Carolyn Sue Clark are at 3 PM, Friday, January 3rd, 2019 at RiverCrest Chapel in Bixby, Oklahoma.
Born May 2, 1952, in Ft. Worth, Texas, Carolyn was the daughter of Bill and Betty (Wooten) Campbell. In addition to Ft. Worth, Carolyn would live in Wichita Falls before the family made Tulsa, Oklahoma their home. Once in Tulsa, Carolyn would attend local schools and was a graduate of Memorial High School. In her youth, Carolyn enjoyed riding around town, sharing the Word, and bowling.
Carolyn met and married Terry Clark, in 1978, after the two were set up on a blind date by her father. Their first date was on July 7th and they tied the knot on August 19th just a few weeks later. The couple would make their home in Bixby, although they spent a few years in Wichita, KS, and Yukon, OK. It seemed they always found their way back ‘home’ to Bixby.
For the most part, Carolyn was a homemaker; however, she did work various jobs, through the years, including Bixby Public Schools. There, she worked in the Special Education Department. In addition, Carolyn dabbled in arts and crafts and was an amazing bowler.
Caring, generous, and giving are words used to describe Carolyn. There is no doubt she will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Clark of the home; her son, Tanner Clark of Tulsa; sisters: Janice Garcia (Jesus); Nancy Hutchins (Glen); Tammy Robinson (Tim); brother, Steve Campbell (Carol); nieces and nephews: Troy, Travis, Zack, Zane, Steve, Ricky, Hillary, and Barry. She is also survived by other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Bill and Betty Campbell.
