I remember this man most of my life. Going to his house and he was and will always be a great man. My dad talked of him often. Him not having a dad, he had two great men who became father figures to him. He was one. Rip
Angie, you took such great care your “old farmer” and I really enjoyed hearing about the amazing dinners you made for him. What a blessing you gave him. May God keep you in comfort and peace.
What a wonderful tribute to Uncle Pat and I learned something new reading it. I knew dad and Pat were friends but did not know dad actually introduced him an Aunt Almeda (how did I not know this). Uncle Pat certainly lived a full life and was always a busy man ! As a kid I will always treasure the times we spent in Oklahoma most Thanksgiving's driving in the middle of the night after dad got off work to be there early in the morning. Pat always up and about, in his shop working on something. I swear 40 or 50 people celebrating Thanksgiving, dad and Aunt Almeda arguing about stupid stuff everyone laughing and cutting up, watching football, doing our performances for the family at night, walking in the woods, glamping in the motorhome, sure wish we had videos of those crazy times. I miss that so much. Angie and Bill I pray for you both as you navigate life without your daddy ! Love to you all !
