Cynthia Kreymer Obituary In no particular order, there were about five things that Cindy Kreymer wanted out of her life. She wanted to live independent of the rules or conventions of others, to love and be loved deeply, to be admired, to be outdoors, and... to ideally be within a 20-foot-radius of an equine or canine companion. Cindy (don't ever get caught calling her "Cynthia," unless you want to be haunted from the great beyond...) lived by her own rules. It is one of the things that caused her husband of more than thirty years, Jerry Kreymer, to fall deeply in love with her. "Societal convention" might as well have been a four letter word in her world. She was ruled instead by intelligence, faith, and a wicked sense of humor. Cindy was born in Tulsa Oklahoma to Charlotte Frichot and Arthur Blaine Imel on August 14, 1952. This was just 19 months after her sister Deborah was born and they were close friends and mischief makers! She was an exceptional beauty, with big hazel eyes and thick dark hair. Cindy was always very close to her father, Blaine Imel, who affectionately referred to her as "Cyndifer," a phrase coined at least in part due to her wicked sense of humor. They shared a love of gardening and bonsai plants. They also shared a love of animals - Blaine preferred larger dogs as did Cindy. Blaine flew small planes for fun and was always willing to take his daughters buzzing around - even having to buzz the Cushing airport to get someone to wave them in! After she married Jerry, she spent many hours listening to the two of them talk about flying and books they had read. Cindy graduated from the University of Tulsa with her RN degree. Cindy then served the Tulsa community as a Nurse Practitioner, showing great courage and moral conviction serving the HIV population in the 1980s and 1990s as the head of a Ryan White HIV clinic in the Tulsa area. Cindy was one of those people who was there if you needed her. When her mother had a serious operation, Cindy moved her out to Beggs and took care of her while she recovered. When her father needed to have more care than he was getting at home, she was pivotal in helping select the right place for him, and she spent many hours making sure he was getting the care he needed. Cindy married Jerry Kreymer, her soulmate and partner in crime, on November 30, 1991, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in the presence of their friends and family. Cindy adored little babies. When she moved to Beggs, Oklahoma, with her husband Jerry in 1990, she worked at the Okmulgee hospital and delivered many babies. She even gave her personal phone number out to new mothers so that they could call her on the weekends with questions about their young ones. Cindy also enjoyed having family around. She hosted a family reunion for all the Frichot family when one of our relatives was visiting here from France. It was a large gathering and everyone loved being together. Cindy was an excellent mother; she gave birth to her only child, Monica Paige Kreymer (now Monica Lamphere) on September 15, 1992. Having prayed for a child for many years, she now turned her nursing skills, her wisdom, her kindness, and her love to the trials and tribulations of motherhood. Cindy raised Monica on the Beggs farm surrounded by animals of almost every variety. Cindy was a skilled equestrian, and horses were a large part of her life for many years. Her loves besides her family and friends were her horses Roxanne, Sonny, and Chuck. Cindy also deeply loved her German Shepherd guard dog (who guarded against everyone except for one Jerry Kreymer), Rex. Cindy will be deeply mourned, missed, and held in our hearts forever.
